Oct20 - Nov 17 - Docker images and containers, LLM Local apps in Flask - PHP COURSE - Blog Update

Welcome not to a new week of updates, but to a new month of updates, as I've gone nearly a month without making this type of video. The last one I recorded was on October 20th, which is the date we have here, and today is November 17th. So I've gone a month without publishing updates, as I've been working hard on the first improvements I want to tell you about, which are old updates to my posts.
That's why I hadn't released this video: I've focused all my time precisely on what was mentioned.

Old Article Update

The advantage here is that, in the learning paths, I'm mostly working with old articles: I'm updating them, merging repetitive or “junk” posts to create super articles.

For example, here you can see that I had many repetitive or very short posts; I've been unifying them so they make more sense. I currently have about 292 unpublished articles, as many were junk or duplicate material.

As I mentioned, I'm updating old articles with new ones, adding fresh material and current dates. I've already done this for:

  • Flask
  • Django
  • Laravel base
  • Laravel Livewire

And now I'm working on the Inertia part

The advantage for you is that, if you want to read them, they are now much more up-to-date. It's not yet a formal learning path, because I should add intermediate posts and reorganize some things, but at least it's much better than before.

For example, here you can see that I unified about four articles into one, talking about Livewire components and various examples. All of that is already available, and I continue updating it.

That's also why I'm changing these weekly update videos to monthly ones… we'll see how long that lasts.

Community Versions of Books and Courses

Always remembering the community versions of the books: no changes here.

Regarding the community courses, I don't remember which one I mentioned last, but we already have:

Now, I'm going to start releasing community courses with the same content shared in the books:

The latter has about 11 hours of content, and you can support it with the community book. You have a lot of free material to get started in these technologies.
If the material is useful to you, it's available, and if you wish, you can purchase the paid version, no commitment.

YouTube and Blog Video Publication

This week I also released one of the introductory videos for the online store, which I had pending. Although I'm not currently working on these paid courses, I continue to work directly on free courses.

All the material I'm recording now is completely free.

Regarding updates, the videos I've released on YouTube correspond to the free course on:

Flask + Python + Local LLMs (using AI in local applications)

Here you can see the classes I released: from creating the app in Flask to making the first connections.
The course is already practically finished in the Academy, as is the Docker one (which I haven't finished yet, but it's quite advanced).

I don't release all the classes at once on YouTube, so you'll see them a bit more spaced out there.

Free PHP Course coming soon…

Here you have the free courses listed, the coupon of the week (which I will open this week) and I want to mention that I'm starting another completely free course, this time for PHP.

The idea is to teach the language fundamentals to then migrate to frameworks like CodeIgniter or Laravel. That is always my scheme.

For me, developing in pure PHP doesn't make much sense because it's prone to errors and disorganization. If you're going to do small things, a lightweight framework like CodeIgniter works much better.

But, even so, we must know the language fundamentals, so this course will give you the necessary bases to start in frameworks without getting directly into pure PHP from scratch.

I've already recorded some classes, but I'm missing the initial ones to be able to publish it.

I agree to receive announcements of interest about this Blog.
