Week 05A 12A Update - Testing, Laravel Inertia Livewire and +

Hello everyone, welcome to another week in which I'm going to talk to you about the news of the week of August 5, 2024. As you can see, I'm already a little late. The recording of this video is a bit complicated, but I'll get here quickly.

YouTube

The only topic for Django Week would be creating custom views. Remember that this content is part of the basic Django 3 and 4 course that I'm publishing little by little on YouTube and we're working again with custom views.

In Laravel, we have some for testing in Laravel, the first class to understand the matter that is based on a mathematical operation and the strongest part that is where I have been working the last few months and I am also sharing a bit of content not only from previous courses but also from the new course which is the Arabel course in which I continue a little with the unit tests. Here it is well written poorly but I already corrected it or simply tests in this case it would be a unit test. This is the first, the first topic that we work on in what is that huge section of more than 70 classes that we see the Mathematical operations that allow us to understand in an easier way How the tests work and why they are also before that is by doing some simple Mathematical operations always for the tests in any technology I start with this exercise then Well more information in this video if you are interested in how to work with the tests I recommend this video.

We continue here a little bit with Laravel Here I also continue with what is the old course in this case it is customizing the style part, that is, through the container the style for the form for the table And so we also have the first videos for the use of the comp components the arabel which is new as of Laravel 7 and if you want to work with Laravel which is the next update that I am doing in the course you have to know how to use the basic components in Laravel for the rest here I continue a little bit with what are the tests in this case with pest since well right now I talk about this but I already finished the section of the tests in Laravel for what is the course then we get to pest we translate the tests and there we compare a little bit of what this is all about for the rest there is not much more to say here.

Courses and Books

I have already finished the testing part as I told you, as final exercises and also to work with PES since remember that in Laravel we have two frameworks for php unit testing, which was how we started and then we started working with PEST and we saw that the translation was practically copy and paste and with making some small changes and that was the last classes that I recorded in which I translated, we go directly to all the tests that correspond to a module, whether it is the crut for users, post category, for the API, for the dashboard, for the web model, all that was what we did and we have already finished with this, which is this huge section for testing in Laravel, which is already part of the complete course and that I was releasing some classes that were the ones you saw above for the Integra part. Well here I started another section that would be with Livewire and with Inertia, now Inertia is a little more advanced in which we already started to create the crud. Remember that Laravel Inertia what it does is communicate View directly with Laravel, that is, instead of returning a Blade. we return a component in Vue that would be like who says the main joke and here we are working on the crud as I was telling you the pagination deleting the record a little thing that we have pending there with deleting the record through a link in inertia that we have to convert a button for recommendations redirects flash message Well here again creating the containers working with the Progress bar.

I started weeks after the inertia one here we are talking about what Laravel is again This is a stack then I am updating both well both stat the one from inertia the one from lightware to get out of the updates of the arabel course and right now they are only available in the basic Laravel course then I will also be updating the inertia and liveware courses and in udemy I will probably release a new course for both stat then a bit the same the migrations characteristics of a project in Livewire since we are starting we talked a little about this and we created the models little more to say really since we are starting and with this I finish what this video is this Sorry this this email.

Blog

and in the blog, which I simply list like this for you to review here I stopped in the week of 12 which was where I got well this video from 5 to 12 here this this this publication I took it within a short video on YouTube in which I talk a little about the first test, that is, what we do in a test in this case using PES there you can read it if you want Well a little bit the same this one is in English here again I continue with the Laravel tests in this case I talk about How to take the first steps in these frameworks as you can see here let's go to the next page well again giving a little bit of my personal opinion here I continue a little bit with Emi's theme to then finally give the conclusions then I talk a little bit about How is SEO in Udemy if it exists or not well to get ahead of you a little bit it really isn't something that exists because the Udemy platform is extremely simple and in my personal opinion there are very few things that you can optimize but even so I'm giving you some tips here in case you want to interest Also undertake on this platform also remember that well here the joke more than anything is the video since the publication is simply ex I brought the text of what the video is and I gave it a little format here the operation of the educational ads in udemy Well really for me this is useless and even that I had a while I started to review a little what are the educational and promotional ads of other instructors that are there and well they are Really little to say little nutritious To put it in some way we go down a bit here continues a little well comparing a couple of things that is how I work the tests in Emi that remember well maybe you have done it Maybe not because it is not really something so implemented in the platform Although udemy spends its time bothering with that and it seems that it is the only thing that Innovates that is the part of carrying out tests to complete code simple selection test and that type In What would be better in general is that type of tests that eye I am not criticizing them now I continue talking a little about that or the tests as I as I do them what is invited That is to say that when we are going to do an implementation if A similar implementation has already been done. I'm giving the person a chance to carry out that similar implementation and well, it can go, as they say, stumbling. In case they still don't master it, they advance a little. If they get stuck at some point, they see what the solution is, they see what the problem is and continue solving it or continue solving the task and little by little, that is to say, it is not as much of a black box as it would be simply a traditional test and I also note this because since udemy is an extremely closed platform and it only serves its interests, that is to say, it simply wants to fulfill its interests and it cares little about the rest of the members, meaning the people who buy the courses or directly the content creators, I would not invest my time because you have to invest a lot of time in doing this type of tests and well. Any problem, those tests remain directly in udemy, that is to say, if they close the course. You simply do not want to sell the content there, obviously, the videos that you record, you can publish that on another platform.

Obviously not the tests because that is already native to the platform you are using, so for me it is a bit of a waste in that sense and therefore I prefer the scheme that I have always followed in my courses, which is again the video tests.

Here detecting mobile navigation in Laravel has also become this and I also published there.

The tests based on what I mentioned before in the email and here, well, this would be the last thing.

A little problem I had with this platform although I think I talked about this in the previous video, in the same way as I don't remember and basically it also uses this platform to upload my courses and magically I was updating the Laravel one that as I have always told you about and as you can see if you follow me a little on social networks I am always creating content little by little every day when I hit save it deleted all the content of that course or that pack that I had there on this platform and well in a few words they are not responsible they act crazy a fairly informal response in my judgment and basically they tell me to upload it again so well from one bad platform another money in a bad way and so we go so that is basically all I published this week So I'll see you next week.
